Estepona City Council opens the application period for the Queens and Ladies of the Fair and Main Festivals 2026
Registration will be open from April 6 to May 1, 2026, inclusive. The selection and crowning of the Carnival Queen will take place on May 29 at 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Ajedrez (Chess Square).
The Estepona City Council announces that the application period for Queens and Ladies of the 2026 Fair and Main Festivals opens on April 6th, the celebration of which will take place from July 7th to 12th.
As stated in the rules, those interested must be registered residents of Estepona and provide a photocopy of their national identity document for the Youth category, as well as a contact telephone number. Minors who do not have a national identity document must submit a photocopy of the registration form in the Family Book, and complete the authorization document signed by both parents and/or legal guardians, available on the Notice Board of the City Council website.
Two categories have been announced: Children's, in which girls aged 7 to 11 can participate; and Youth, intended for young people aged 17 to 23.
Those who have been elected Queens in previous years, in the same category in which they wish to compete, will not be able to participate in this contest, nor will candidates who have been elected Queens or Ladies of other Popular Festivals of Estepona this same year, such as the Festivities of San Isidro Labrador or the Virgen del Carmen.
The Councillor for Festivals, Macarena Diánez, has announced that the election and coronation ceremony for the Feria and Fiestas Mayores court, which will consist of a Queen and four Ladies-in-Waiting in each category (Children's and Youth), will be held on Friday, May 29th, at 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Ajedrez (Chess Square). The Children's candidates will be chosen by lottery.
The rules are available on the Town Hall Notice Board. Applications can be submitted in person or electronically through the Town Hall's General Registry, addressed to the Municipal Festivals Department, from May 6th to May 1st, 2026, inclusive.
