Painting exhibition "the artist and his world" by antonio garcía-trevijano
The Casa de Las Tejerinas will host the painting exhibition "The Artist and His World" by Antonio García-Trevijano.
The exhibition will open next Thursday, April 24th, at 6:00 PM. It will be open until May 7th.
Estepona City Council announces that Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, will host a painting exhibition by Estepona-based artist Antonio García-Trevijano from San Roque, starting April 24th.
The painting exhibition "The Artist and His World" will feature more than twenty paintings, primarily oils on canvas and other textures. It will open on Thursday the 24th at 6:00 p.m. and will remain open until May 7. Opening hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
Antonio García-Trevijano Fernández. “My journey into the world of drawing began when I was seven years old, when an illness kept me bedridden for three or four months. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, in San Roque, a town in Cádiz, some friends and I started a small artistic movement in which we played with ceramics, sculpture, painting, and organized exhibitions. I exhibited at the San Roque Cultural Center, the Sanlúcar de Barrameda Cultural Center, and various tea rooms in La Línea de la Concepción and Algeciras,” the artist explains.
In early 2000, García-Trevijano worked for a gallery in Paris, where he had the opportunity to exhibit in several alternative spaces for beginners. A self-taught artist, over the past 20 years he has delved deeper into the creation of his own unique language.
"This exhibition I decided to present began in the wake of the pandemic, where I had a lot of time to be with myself and reflect, and from there this collection of paintings was born. In this exhibition, I tried to somehow represent my world of thoughts, sensations, and emotions," he emphasizes.
