Registration: iv "bookface" contest
The City Council is holding the 4th 'BookFace' Competition, which rewards the art of blending into a book cover.

Estepona City Council announces that the Municipal Department of Culture has opened the entry period for the 4th Bookface Contest, which aims to promote creativity and the habit of reading through a combination of photography and literature. The contest involves creating an image by aligning a book cover with a person's face or body, generating a creative and original visual composition.
Anyone registered in Estepona is eligible to participate in this competition, regardless of age. Each contestant may submit a maximum of two unpublished photographs that have not won awards in other competitions. The file must be in JPG or PNG format, with a minimum resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, and must be sent by email to admbiblioteca@estepona.es, indicating the participant's full name, age, and contact information, as well as authorization from their legal guardians in the case of minors.
The photography submission period will be open from April 1 to 20, 2025. Photographs that may violate the right to honor, personal and family privacy, or that are disrespectful to religious beliefs or sexual orientation will not be accepted.
The jury will select the three best photographs based on criteria such as creativity, technique, and originality. Prizes will be awarded 150, 100, and 50 euros, respectively. The prizes will be presented to the winners on Wednesday, April 23rd, International Book Day.
A selection of the participating photographs will be temporarily exhibited at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.
