Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, will host a contemporary art exhibition by the painter Gigi López from next Thursday, February 27.
The painting exhibition consists of 23 paintings made using the acrylic on canvas technique and can be visited until March 12. The opening hours are Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
Gigi Lopez (Ángela Lopez Sarney) was born in the United Kingdom. Her creative passion finds its roots in her rich Spanish heritage, which led her in 2023 to move to live and work in Malaga. Her keen observations of the world during her extensive travels have sparked a deep desire to foster meaningful connections with others. Her abstract works are visual odysseys through enchanting worlds, woven from her memories and personal explorations.
Gigi’s creations range from surrealist masterpieces to social realism pieces, each illuminating the struggles and injustices faced by marginalized voices. She champions the constant need to amplify these narratives, advocating for issues such as racial equity, gender equality, mental wellness, and much more. With an open invitation, Gigi dives in for a look through her artistic lens, skillfully utilizing acrylics, collage, mixed media, encaustic wax, stencils, textures, and photography to reveal her unique perspective on the world.
