Digital camp white week
Estepona Town Hall informs that the registration period is now open for the White Week Digital Camp, which will take place between 24 and 27 February with the aim of providing digital skills to children and adolescents between 9 and 13 years old. These workshops will address the use of the Internet and digital tools in a useful, creative, safe and responsible way.
This action will be carried out thanks to the collaboration agreement between the City Council and the CiberVoluntarios Foundation. The workshop is free, with a DigComp certificate, and consists of a total of 18 teaching hours. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the computer room of the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with content and activities adapted to each age.
In addition to learning how to search for valuable information on the Internet, students will be able to learn about tools for creating digital content, creating secure passwords and protecting personal data. They will also receive guidelines for verifying shared information and detecting fake news, and advice on controlling screen time. The training program also addresses the care of privacy and rules of conduct on social networks, filtering and searching for information more effectively, as well as the detection and prevention of cyberbullying.
Those interested can register at the municipal youth office, by emailing animacion@estepona.es. Places are limited as the capacity is limited to a maximum of 25 participants.
