"october 19, 19 artists" collective beneficial exhibition against breast cancer
The Casa de las Tejerinas hosts the collective charity exhibition against breast cancer 'October 19, 19 artists'.
The inauguration will coincide with World Day of this disease and will be open to visitors until November 2.
Estepona Town Hall informs that, coinciding with World Breast Cancer Day, Room 2 of the Casa de las Tejerinas will host the collective charity exhibition 'October 19, 19 artists' from next Saturday, October 19. The opening of the exhibition will take place at 7:00 p.m.
The project, curated by the artist Fernanda J. Carregado and the cultural manager Sergio Croma, aims to give visibility to breast cancer from an artistic perspective and, on the other hand, to raise funds through the sale of the works. The funds raised will be donated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer, which will use them entirely to fight this disease and, in this case, to the Estepona headquarters chaired by Julia Crespo.
The exhibition is made up of works by 19 artists, each with different registers, interests, ages and careers. This year, the first edition will take place. Through a wide range of techniques and disciplines, this group of artists come together in this collective exhibition of photography, painting, sculpture and textile art, to portray the diverse reality of people with breast cancer.
The exhibition is hosted by: Vaz, Stella Karnazon, Pepa Cano, Nayra Martin Reyes, Merche Ber, Maita de Pablos, Marta Bernad, Marie Isabelle Poirier Troyano, Maria Egea, Liviana Leone, Karen Gajate, Judith Borobio, Fernanda J. Carregado, Elena Camacho, David Burbano, Claudia Frau, Bianca de Vilar, Ana Iturrate and Adela Aguilera.
The exhibition can be visited until November 2, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
