The City Council announces the third 'BookFace' Contest that rewards the art of merging with the cover of a book

The Estepona City Council informs that the municipal delegation of Culture, through the Municipal Public Library, opens the deadline to participate in the 'III 'Bookface' Contest to reward the most original photographs trying to fit the face or any part of the body with the cover of a book
'Bookface' is a trend that has existed for several years on social networks, which consists of photographing yourself trying to fit your face or any part of your body with the cover of a book. In this case it is about fitting the image with more or less technique, grace and imagination.
The deputy mayor of the Sociocultural Area, Paula Herrera, has announced that anyone registered in Estepona can participate in this call, without age limit. Each contestant may enter with a maximum of two unpublished photographs, with the only condition that the title of the book work be visible.
The photographs will be sent by e-mail to the address admbiblioteca@estepona.es in jpg, jpeg or png format.
For her part, the councilor assigned to the Sociocultural area, Macarena Diánez, has indicated that the period for submitting photos will remain open until midnight on April 19, 2024. Likewise, she warns that those photographs that will not be admitted to the contest will not be admitted to the contest. may violate the right to honor, personal and family privacy, or are disrespectful of people's religious beliefs and sexual condition.
A jury made up of staff from the Sociocultural Area will select a single winning photograph, based on the creativity, technique and originality of the photograph. The winner of the contest will receive a prize of books worth 100 euros, to be chosen from the available fund of the local bookstore designated by the Estepona City Council. The awarding of the prize to the winner will take place on Tuesday, April 23, International Book Day.
A selection of the participating photographs will be temporarily exhibited in the facilities of the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.
