The Estepona City Council informs that the Brazilian artist Livia Alencar will exhibit her pictorial work 'Color and Balance' in Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas from April 12 to 24.

The opening of the exhibition, which consists of a total of 34 works, will take place next Friday the 12th, at 6:00 p.m., and can be visited until April 24 from Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free access.

Livia Alencar was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She studied at the School of Saint Marcellin and later began a career in medicine, but art and painting eventually took her in another direction. With her drawings and paintings in acrylic and oil pastels, she was lucky enough to be chosen to study with the great teacher Antonio López in several summer courses. She also studied at the School of Saint Martin, in London, and the Brazilian painter Silvio Baptista introduced her to abstract painting.

She has always liked to play with strong colors, mixed materials and try new techniques. Over the years he has exhibited his work in several different countries.

As she herself points out, “I paint what I feel and try to convey to the viewer what I have inside me: vibrant colors, light and joy. I have proudly received many kind words from renowned art critics around the world.”
