Xxxvi chess night 'city of estepona 2022'
Estepona's Paseo Marítimo will host the XXXVI Chess Night 'Ciudad de Estepona 2022'
The tournament, which will be held next Thursday, August 11, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., includes four independent tournaments and will distribute 28 trophies and 200 medals among the participants.
Estepona City Council informs that next Thursday, August 11, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., the XXXVI Night Chess Trophy 'Ciudad de Estepona 2022' for amateurs will be held on the Paseo Marítimo.
Four independent tournaments will be played: mixed categories (by year of birth):
1st Tournament: Smurfs and Sub-8 Categories: 10 minutes per player, Swiss 5 rounds.
2nd Tournament: Categories Sub 10-12: 10 minutes per player, Swiss 6 rounds.
3rd Tournament: Categories Under 14-16 and Older: 10 minutes per player, Swiss 7 rounds.
4th Tournament: Senior Category: Blitz Tournament, 10 minutes per player, Swiss 5 rounds.
The awards ceremony, 28 trophies and 200 medals, will begin at 10:00 p.m. with the lower categories: there will be trophies for the first three classified in each category and the first female in each category, and medals for all participants.
The event is organized by the Estepona City Council and the Estepona Municipal Chess School, under the direction of its teacher, Miguel Abril.
