The sculptor Indalecio Pérez exhibits 'Fragments' at the Casa de Las Tejerinas in Estepona

The opening of the exhibition will take place next Friday, July 30, at 7:00 p.m., and can be visited until August 28. During the event, the premiere of the musical work of the Almeria composer Juan Cruz-Guevara, created for the occasion, will take place.

The Estepona City Council informs that Room 1 and the Central Patio of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next Friday, July 30, at 7:00 p.m., the exhibition of sculptures " Fragments ”, by the artist Indalecio Pérez.

The exhibition consists of a total of seventeen artistic works, and can be visited until August 28, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. 00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

Indalecio Pérez Trains (Granada, 1961). He received his first artistic teachings at the Granada School of Arts and Crafts. After passing through Granada's classrooms, in 1982 he began studying Fine Arts at the University of Seville, training that ended in 1987. In parallel to his artistic production, he began his career as a teacher.

He is the initiator of the Painting, Design and Sculpture Conference that took place in Macael during the years 1989-1991 and director of the first two editions of the National Marble Sculpture Award, organized by the Macael City Council in 2004 and 2005. close collaboration with the composer Juan Cruz-Guevara, illustrating and making sculptures for his work, just as the composer composes explicit works for the sculptor's exhibitions, such as the one that will be premiered at the opening act of “Fragmentos”.

Juan Cruz-Guevara was born in the Almeria town of Macael in 1972). At the age of 15 he began his studies at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Murcia in the disciplines of Trombone, Piano and Composition, obtaining the highest marks. Later he was perfected at the Robert Schumann Hochschule (Düsseldorf).

Among his awards, it is worth highlighting the First Prize of the Murcia International Orchestra Festival with Concert for Marimba and String Orchestra, among many others. He has recently obtained the 2018 Reina Sofía Prize for Composition by Unanimity of the Jury, with his work Pictograma, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, premiered by the Spanish Radio Television Orchestra. Its catalog includes more than eighty premiered works. He is currently a professor at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Granada and Professor of the University Master's Degree in Composition with New Technologies at the International University of La Rioja.
