Photographic expo "what my eyes see"

Exhibition of photographs 'What my eyes see', by Vivienne Whiffen, at the Casa de Las Tejerinas

The Estepona City Council informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next Monday, April 5, at 6:00 p.m., the exhibition of photographs 'What my eyes see' by Vivienne Whiffen.

The exhibition consists of a total of 50 photographic works in color and black and white, and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 20:00, with free access.

Vivienne Frances Whiffen . Born in England, she has spent much of her life in Spain, where she arrived for the first time in 1963. She has lived for 25 years in the neighboring town of Gaucín and currently lives again in Estepona, where she was already in the decades of the 70s and 80s working as an English teacher, as well as running a small restaurant in the old town.

She studied photography at an art academy in England, and has worked for many years in black and white, although she is increasingly interested in color, even for subjects that have traditionally been done in black and white, such as documentary photography. .

Lately, much of his inspiration comes from painting, both in art museums and online, where he finds images. This exhibition will be retrospective and includes many photos of Estepona and his travels; Until recently, he spent several months a year on his boat, traveling the canals of France, Holland, Germany and Belgium together with his partner and their dog.
