The opening of the exhibition will take place next Thursday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m., and it can be visited until November 12.
The Estepona City Council informs that the artist from Cádiz Cristóbal Cepillo will present next Thursday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m., the sample of watercolors 'Luz de Agua', in Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores.
The exhibition consists of about twenty works, and can be visited until November 12 from Tuesday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 20:00, with free access.
Cristóbal Cepillo GalvÃn (San Fernando, Cádiz-1959). At the age of 11, he was discovered as an artist by his drawing teacher at the IES Isla de León, where he will study for Higher Bachelor and COU. Next, he carried out different artistic disciplines at the Cádiz School of Art.
In 1987 he won the 'I Regional Comic Contest' organized by the Casa de la Juventud de San Fernando. He is 24 years old when he sets up his own workshop on Maldonado street and carries out different works for his town, such as a mural for the old Parroquia de San José Artesano, a carving of the Virgin as a co-owner for the brotherhood of Perdón, as well as the Guide Cross , and the 14 stations for the passage of this Christ.
He has also made a carving of the full body of Christ for the Junta Pro-cultos de las Tres Caidas, a carving of Virgen del RocÃo for the choir of the filial brotherhood of La Isla, the busts of Virgin and Christ for the chapel of the cemetery of San Fernando, and various restorations and works for the convent of Santo Domingo de Cádiz.
He worked for 25 years as a graphic designer, earning two escrows for his company; one national and one international. He graduated in "Artistic ceramics", "Artistic design and construction of fans" at the School of Art of Cádiz, he studied "Engraving and lithography" at the same school, and "Artistic photography" at the School of Art in Jerez . As a teacher, he teaches a pyrography course at the EMA in Chiclana and a natural nude course for Chiclanarte.
He has to his credit different exhibitions, among others, Casa de la Cultura de San Fernando, Casa de la Juventud de Cádiz, La Salle de San Fernando, Baluarte de Cádiz, Hotel Sensimar of the hotel complex of Novo Sancti-Petri de Chiclana, Modern Theater from this same town, Palacio de Congresos de San Fernando. In 2019, the San Fernando City Council commissioned him and a bronze bust of Cayetano Roldán, mayor of that city in 1936, was inaugurated.
He has always been a creator anxious to explore and learn about different styles, techniques and artistic disciplines.
