The Estepona City Council informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host a new exhibition of paintings and sculpture by the artist from next Thursday, August 4, at 6:00 p.m. Cristina Harillo, known as "the painter of the wings".
The exhibition is entitled 'The map of my wings' and is made up of his latest pictorial works, as well as a list of previous works that maintain a dialogue with the current ones, in addition to several of his sculptural creations. It can be visited until August 17, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free access.
Cristina Harillo Muñoz was born in Ceuta, but moved to Algeciras at a very young age, a city where she developed her work as a painter and plastic creative.
He received master classes, for several years, from the professor of Fine Arts and artist D. Juan Zahara. Among his works stands out having won the contest organized by the Conservatory of La Línea de la Concepción, to design its official logo, as well as the poster for the first Flamenco Fashion show in Campo de Gibraltar, or the logo of the Virgin Band of the Palm of Algeciras. Also noteworthy are his work designing jewelry pieces and his collaboration with various social organizations, such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer, among others.
His work is normally based on large format works, made with mixed techniques on wood. He has created a series of works based on the theme of wings, in which the construction of colors is as important as the textures. They are the ones that have made her known as the "painter of wings". With this series he has exhibited at the Cruz Herrera Museum in La Línea de la Concepción, at the Casa de Las Tejerinas in Estepona and at the Cajasur Exhibition Hall in Algeciras. With this same theme he has made a mural in Algeciras.
At the same time, he has been developing another series of abstract works, the result of experimentation with other materials and his artistic and professional development, which he has called "My Paradises", and which maintains a dialogue with his "wings", which have toured galleries in various municipalities. .
